Here at Kim’s Organic Multigrain Energy Shake, we understand how hard it can be to eat right for every meal, which is why our shake is so simple to prepare! Made with all local organic ingredients, we promise never to use gluten, soy or any animal products. We use whole green peas, quinoa, lentils, black beans, and more so that every glassful is packed with twenty vitamins and minerals. Our energy shake can, and should be enjoyed by everyone young or old, and here we have some recipes tailored to your specific needs!

For children, add strawberries, bananas or any other kind of fruit to our shake to make it a sure success. We suggest using vanilla almond milk or vanilla soymilk when preparing Kim’s shake for younger persons. Because the only sugar within the shake mix itself is from a banana, adding additional banana is often the perfect way to make this healthy meal especially kid-friendly. Kim’s Organic Multigrain Energy Shake mix can also be used to top off ice cream, cereal and even oatmeal for that extra boost of nutrients. If you are looking for additional fruit combinations to add to your shake try raspberries and blackberries, blueberries and bananas, or all of them together!

Athletes can benefit from the added banana too! If you are looking for a great way to start an action packed day, or the best way to cool down after strenuous activity, Kim’s Organic Multigrain Energy Shake has what you need. The special blend of rice, beans vegetables, seeds and grains allows your body to recover quickly so that you feel satisfied and rejuvenated within minutes! You can always add one extra scoop of mix to your shake if you are looking for a little more of the good stuff. Try adding slivered almonds to the blend for added flavor and fiber.

Individuals with lactose intolerance, or who chose to avoid dairy, we recommend mixing our shake with any kind of Almond milk, but any other milk will do the trick. When blending the shake with ice and milk, make sure to leave pieces of crushed ice so that our beverage stays fresh and delicious!

Eating vegan is about a person’s choice to refrain from using or consuming animal products and by-products. Vegans avoid eating meats, like vegetarians, but also steer clear of dairy products, eggs, leather, wool and any chemical products that have been tested on animals. Many people choose this lifestyle so that they do not engage in animal cruelty and the destruction of the environment, but there are also many health-related reasons to become vegan.

According to the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, “The consumption of animal fats and proteins has been linked to heart disease, colon and lung cancer, osteoporosis, diabetes, kidney disease, hypertension, obesity, and a number of other debilitating conditions.” Animal products such as cows’ milk have been widely accepted as staples in a healthy diet, but in reality the high levels of fats and protein in milk is ideal for growing calves, and not humans. We have come to believe that meat and other animal products are the best way to maintain a healthy diet, but this is not the case. A diet consisting of whole grains, vegetables, fruits and beans is very low in fat, contains no cholesterol and is rich in fiber and nutrients. Beans, tofu, peanuts, and grains provide all the protein a vegan needs, just as leafy greens, tofu and fortified juices contain all the calcium a healthy body requires. A vegan diet, while perhaps a little tricky, is an extremely healthy and nutritious way to obtain all the nutrients your body could ever need.

Kim’s Organic Multigrain Energy Shake is a gluten-free, soy-free and vegan drink that is packed with twenty vitamins and minerals so that you can enjoy a balanced meal anytime of day! We use various beans, seeds, nuts, grains and more to create the perfect combination of nutrients and energy so that you feel satisfied for hours. If you are vegan, or just trying to eat better, our energy shake is a great way to give your body a heavy dose of “the good stuff” all at once!

As we age our bodies become more susceptible to illness and disease, but maintaining a balanced diet and exercise regimen is proven to prevent such sicknesses as osteoporosis, high blood pressure, heart disease and various types of cancer. As we get older our body’s ability to retain nutrients changes, and because of this the way we take care of ourselves must change as well. Eating well after fifty allows you to live a longer and more fulfilling life, keeps your mind sharp, and keeps you feeling energetic and looking great.

The trick is learning how to stick to a good diet. In order to do this there are several basic guidelines to follow. Remember the old adage, “you are what you eat”, and make this your mantra. Keep this in mind while grocery shopping or preparing meals, and always use a variety of vitamin and mineral rich foods. Next, avoid high calorie foods with little nutrients, such as chips, soda and sweets. It important to eat foods that have little to no cholesterol and fat, as well as lots of fruits, whole grain breads and cereal and vegetables. Lastly, it is crucial to remain hydrated at all times. These are basic rules for staying healthy in older age, so ask your doctor or healthcare professional about your personal diet restrictions and demands.

Kim’s Organic Multigrain Energy Shake is a delicious and convenient way to enjoy a balanced meal, packed with twenty vitamins and minerals you are sure to feel satisfied and energized. Our shake is gluten-free, soy-free and 100% vegan so that everyone can benefit from this delicious mix!
